KinoVino is excited to launch a new series of events at Haggerston’s trendy spot - the SHED. A spin off series from the main monthly KinoVino events, these smaller gatherings will be dedicated to food and film from Eastern Europe. KinoVino’s founder, Alissa Timoshkina, will serve delicious summery menus, while the curated programme of films will be dedicated to women in Eastern European cinema. Teaming up with SHED’s wine boutique, these gatherings will serve a selection of exclusive wines, paired with each menu.
Join us on 10 June to savour Russian food and watch one of the best and most controversial at its time Soviet films - Little Vera (1988), a raw and honest depiction of troubled youth at the collapse of the Soviet regime. After the screening, you can look forward to ‘okroshka’ soup, a selection of pickles and ferments, a buckwheat mushroom risotto and a traditional Russian honey cake.
This is the best way to spend your Saturday afternoon before delving into the busy East End’s night life.
